My first!

Oh hello! Boring old, template blogger here.

I'm not sure where I'm trying to go by writing this blog. I guess I just believe my life is interesting enough that I'd like to read back on it, but I'm not really good at keeping secrets, so I didn't really want a private journal. I'm actually really good at keeping secrets- I'm a better liar, I suppose- but there's just something awkward about writing in a private journal. Perhaps it reminds me of when I was really awkward and seventeen years old in high school, writing in a journal, and then losing it in high school. Like literally in the high school hallways. {Laughing awkwardly} Embarrassing. The things I wrote in there were beyond embarrassing actually. So I'm just going to throw it all out there in the open and if somebody reads something mortifying this time around, I can just act like they were supposed to read it. Riiight.

So I guess I should say that I'm married. If you were actually reading this, you wouldn't believe it because I barely act like I'm twelve years old. I sometimes refer to my husband as my roommate- still. We've only been married a month and a few days, so I keep reminding myself that he's no longer "the roommate," but "the hubby." He's also my best friend, but we bicker a little more than normal best friends because... well, we're married and in love. Plus I sing Celine Dion a lot and there really aren't many men that like that sort of thing. Oh and then there's the Leonard DiCaprio clock I have hanging in our bedroom above the bed. We bought a house together (with his money, of course) and moved into it in November 2009. He proposed November 2010. We married December (ha! NOT November) 2011.

We have a child. A dog-child and his name is Rockford Moses. He's adopted and we're not positively sure on his breed, but he's a mix of Pit Bull and Boxer and possibly other breeds. He's 80% obnoxious and 180% a snuggle pooch!

So I'm glad I reminded myself that I was awkward in high school, I'm married to my roommate, that I should probably dust Leo, and that my child is 280% dog.

Brilliant first post!
